Funeral Transport from Germany to Ireland

Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Repatriation from Germany to Ireland, handled from start to finish
Losing someone far from home is hard enough without having to deal with foreign authorities and paperwork in another language. We collect the deceased anywhere in Germany, including Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Cologne, and bring them with dignity to any town or city in Ireland, such as Dublin, Cork, Galway, Limerick, Waterford.
The remains are flown as air cargo on scheduled flights from Frankfurt (FRA) or Munich (MUC) to Dublin (DUB) or Cork (ORK), with hearse transfers to the airport and from the airport to the place of rest. A road and ferry option can be arranged on request.
The family does not need to travel to arrange anything. We work directly with the hospital, the registry office, the consulate where needed, and the cemetery or funeral home in Ireland.

Documents for funeral transport from Germany to Ireland
In Germany the doctor issues the medical death certificate (Todesbescheinigung), the registry office (Standesamt) issues the civil death certificate (Sterbeurkunde), and the competent local authority issues the corpse passport (Leichenpass) that is required for any transport abroad.
For international transport the following documents are usually required. We obtain them on behalf of the family:
- Civil death certificate, ideally the international multilingual extract
- Medical certificate confirming the cause of death is not infectious
- Corpse passport (laissez-passer) for international transport
- Certificate of embalming or preservation, where required
- Certificate confirming the zinc-lined coffin has been sealed
- Copy of the passport or ID card of the deceased
On arrival in Ireland we hand over to the receiving funeral director, who arranges the burial or cremation with the local cemetery or crematorium.
